Bursaries

Certain bursaries, including bursaries for sons of ODs, are awarded on the basis of financial need and talent, and where possible, in partnership with outside sponsors. Following the Bishops 2010 Conference, a limited number of bursaries may be awarded to talented boys coming from disadvantaged backgrounds who are either exceptional scholars, or who are recommended by provincial/national sports bodies or music institutions.

Limited funds are also available each year for financial assistance to families in need who are already at Bishops. Applications should be made to the Bursar on the appropriate form available from the Admissions Secretary.

Talent/need Bursaries
These bursaries are awarded by the school, when money is available, to boys from any background and who, in the opinion of the school, would benefit from a Bishops education and who would add value to the school.

2010 Bursaries

Compassionate Bursaries
These bursaries may be awarded to boys already at the school, who for unforeseen reasons are temporarily unable to meet the fees.

OD Bursaries
The OD Union makes a certain amount of money available to the school each year, to assist with the fees of sons of Old Boys who are not in a position to meet the full cost of the fees.

Fee Remissions
