All boys who have registered at Bishops will receive a letter in which they are invited to sit the Entrance examinations in English and Mathematics in March of the year preceding possible entry to Grade 8. A examination fee is charged.
Candidates from schools other than Bishops Prep and Western Province Prep School write the exams in the Mallett Centre on the College campus. It is possible for candidates at schools further afield to make special arrangements to write the examinations in their own schools.
On the basis of results obtained here, as well as possible interviews and further reports from the Prep schools, offers of place are made towards the end of May. Parents have to sign an ‘Acceptance of Place’ form and pay a non-refundable placement fee to secure their son’s place in the College.
Registration for Grade 8 2011 at the College closed on 5th
March 2010.
