Greetings

The Development Office key objective is to facilitate better communications in order to build relationships that will invite additional investment and thus secure Bishop’s financial future.
The two crucial parts of this initiative are:

• to continue the great legacy Bishops has and
• to be able to react to the challenges of the present and the future.

In order to do this Council has encouraged a change in strategy. In line with the leading independent schools in both the US & UK, Bishops is now focused on implementing a Continuous Campaign policy rather than continue with one off celebratory type campaigns. Of course this is not a quick fix approach. The targets are big, brave and long term. We now have 15 year horizons on plans and projects.

Our Continuous Campaign is embodied in a plan called the Three Pillar Plan. We have identified specific aims and plans to seek funding for the needs identified by each pillar. The three pillars are People, Projects and Programs. Please see here for the full Three Pillar plan booklet.

I know how critical and important it is to have the support and involvement of the Bishops family. This is an exciting and challenging time for all of us and I know that with your support Bishops will remain the world class school it has been and will indeed even reach loftier heights. But without securing a strong financial foundation we will not be able to secure the future.
