Economics Teacher

Grades 8 - 12

We are seeking the services of an energetic, passionate and innovative individual to teach Economics from Grades 8 - 12.

TThe successful candidate will:

  • Be suitably qualified and have experience in teaching Economics from grade 8 to 12
  • Be computer literate and have experience of using computers in education
  • Show creativity and motivation in the classroom
  • Be a member of SACE
  • Be able to contribute to the Academic, Sporting and Cultural Life of the School
  • Be able to work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development and care of all pupils
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills.

History Teacher/HOD

Grades 8 - 12

Bishops Prep

The Headmaster invites applications for the following positions effective 1 January 2019.


Natural Science Teacher

Grades 4 - 7

The successful candidate should:

  • Be suitably qualified and SACE registered
  • Teaching of senior Maths a recommendation
  • Have capacity for subject leadership in Science
  • Have experience in the integration of technology in teaching and learning
  • Be able to fully participate in the Prep extra-mural programme
  • Have an enthusiastic, energetic and creative approach to teach
  • Work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development and care of all pupils
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills.

English/Drama Teacher

Grades 4 - 7

TThe successful candidate should:

  • Be suitably qualified and SACE registered
  • Ability to direct the school’s dramatic productions a recommendation
  • Have experience in the integration of technology in teaching and learning
  • Be able to fully participate in the Prep extra-mural programme
  • Have an enthusiastic, energetic and creative approach to teaching
  • Work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development and care of all pupils
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills.

School Counsellor

Bishops Prep includes the Pre-Prep so this position serves Grades N-7 across two campuses.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a suitable qualification (Social Work/Counselling/Psychology Masters)
  • Be able and prepared to teach Life Orientation
  • Have a sound understanding of child and early adolescent development
  • Have experience in child and family counselling
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be approachable and flexible
  • Have experience of working in a school environment
  • Have experience in play therapy.
